If you love these flowers, you have maybe thought, at least for a split second, that you would like to have a garden comprising all varieties of roses existing in the world. Yet, reality is different, unfortunately not all of us have neither the resources, nor the sufficient space for such a “rosary”, so we would have to choose those varieties of roses which would best adapt to the conditions in our garden. Of course, making a selection can be difficult, but, in order to ease your task, we would like to present to you a short enumeration of the different types of roses and some advice concerning the main elements which you would have to consider.

The color of the rose might seem a trivial aspect at a first glance, yet it is usually an important factor for the rose cultivators. Usually, this aspect depends on the personal preferences, but it would be good to create a complementary color palette.
The maturity height of the rose bush must also be taken into consideration, because a rose growing much higher than all the other flowers around it or from the garden can look out of place. In this respect it is good to know that some varieties of roses can grow up to 6 meters high.
If you live in an area where temperatures drop very much during winter, then you should definitely choose a variety resistant to frost (this should be specified on the package)
Another factor which might even seem a bit weird for some people, is the scent. If the strong rose scent causes allergic reactions, choose a species with a weaker scent, or even a scentless one.
Take the size of the garden into account, because the rose also needs a good air circulation and room to thrive.
If you want to use roses as cut flowers, then you need to know if they will do well. The rose hybrids can be used as cut flowers, whereas the flowers of other varieties lose their petals when cut.
You need to consider which other flowers you would like to plant around the roses. These should not harm the eco-system wherein the rose develops.

These flowers, which constantly capture the eye, are of several types and classes – from the dwarf roses, 30 cm tall, to high bushes or climbing species, which can grow up to several meters tall.
