How can I “dress up” my kitchen cabinets?
They are just a plain white flat board, like these:

I want to dress them up a bit to add definition or depth to my kitchen. The kitchen is yellow, and I like the idea of making it look kind of vintage italian or something.
Pictures are helpful. (if I can see something I can recreate it)

You should try to resurface them. In resurfacing the cabinets, you can customize them however you want. Unless you are handy, I would just hire an expert in this area and see what ideas they would have. Most cabinet makers or carpenters are experienced in this area. I would look up several different pictures of cabinets you like on google images and present them to this expert in order to see what is feasible with what you are working with. You can also paint the cabinets a different color or strip the paint and stain them and put decorative knobs on them.
